My little sister was “one tough broad” as our father would say. She lived her life fully and loved deeply. Her life contained many adventures but I think being a mother and grandmother was actually her favorite thing. Cher was never aware of her beauty, outside and inside, but others saw it. She was loved for her compassion, creativity, enthusiasm, loyalty, humor and wonderful smile. Cher quietly took care of others throughout her life, donating to veterans, babysitting for others at a moment’s notice, sharing meals and shelter with whoever might be in need. I don’t know if she thought of herself as a Child of God but she was and is. Our last words to each other were “I love you.” I will treasure that forever.
