Why This Page Exists (And Why We Need You)

Hi, I’m Joe Daly (Charlie’s son)

We created Stories of Charlie as a place for all of us who knew her to gather, remember, and keep her wild, hilarious, stubborn, and unforgettable spirit alive.

If you knew her, you’ve got a story. Probably a few. Maybe they’re sweet. Maybe they’re ridiculous. Maybe they involve crimes of questionable legality. Maybe they’re hard, or complicated, or healing. Whatever they are… We want them.

This page isn’t about polished tributes or perfect words. It’s about remembering her exactly as she was: loud, funny, generous, chaotic, fierce, inappropriate, brilliant. You can post stories, photos, videos, whatever you’ve got.

Don’t worry about making it fancy. Just tell the story like you would if we were sitting around the table together.

Whether you knew her for decades or met her once and never forgot it, we’d love to hear from you.

You can share your story right from the homepage by filling out the “Share a Memory” form. No login, no fuss, just hit submit.

Thanks for helping us build this together. I can already hear her cackling at half of what’s about to be posted.

Joe
